The majority of hotels on O’ahu are concentrated in the Honolulu and downtown Waikiki Beach area. The Hilton Hawaiian Village is the largest property on this famous stretch of beach. The iconic exterior facade of this beachfront property is famous and has been seen in countless movies and TV shows.
BOOKING A STAY
This is a Hilton brand hotel so I always highly recommend booking a stay with a Hilton branded credit card to maximize points earning and benefits on property (like free breakfast, upgrades, etc.). This property can also be booked for FREE with Hilton Honors Points! Check out my Hilton Amex Blog which I highly recommend to have in your wallet which will help you get free nights at properties such as this one.
This property can also be booked as part of the "Fine Hotel + Resorts' program with your American Express Platinum Card. Enjoy a $200 statement credit with this card plus other perks like like room upgrades, late checkout, and additional resort credits when booking.

The property is located at the North end of Waikiki Beach which is perfect for walking to nearby shopping and dining as well as it boasts the largest and quietest beach in the area.
This hotel is famous for its salt water lagoon that sits just behind the beach which you can utilize for swimming and resort activities. Of course, this property has severals pools including some water slides.
In the front of the property is the village which has everything you need from an ABC Store (Hawaii’s best convenience store), to dining, to luxury shopping.
If this is your first time in Hawaii you will most likely want to experience a Luau which they have weekly on property.
This property has everything on site and you will not need to leave. However, you should leave for an adventure around one of the most amazing islands. Check out my Hawaii Travel Guide for everything you need to do and see on your trip to O’ahu.

ROOMS & SUITES
There are tons of available room options but sadly the rooms are a little outdated. They are slowly refreshing the rooms but that can easily be overlooked when you see the breathtaking views right outside your door.
Splurging for a beach front view will definitely make your stay more enjoyable. Getting an upgrade as a Hilton Diamond Member, complimentary with the Hilton Amex makes that even better!
GENERAL REMARKS
This property is HUGE and has the most potential out of all the waikiki properties. However, this property is showing its age and can be very crowded. Most of the hotels in waikiki have a crowded feel but you can't beat the location and property amenities. A trip to O’ahu is a must and you won’t be disappointed when booking a stay here.
